He provides lengthy written feedback where appropriate and is a proponent of students keeping practicing diaries and reviewing them regularly. In addition, John has a background in psychology which allows him demonstrate the vitally important link between body, mind and instrument. As a result of these unique approaches John is always extremely well placed to gauge a student's development and has mentored some of Brisbane' finest jazz and classical musicians.
