Rhiannon started playing flute when she was nine years of age. Having studied with Debbie Ellison and Margaret Crawford, she is currently studying with Gerhard Mallon completing her Bachelor of Music at the Queensland Conservatorium.

In 2005, Rhiannon was named The Queensland Orchestras Young Instrumentalist of the year and performed as the soloist with the Queensland Orchestra. Rhiannon has also been involved with the Queensland Youth Orchestras since 2002.

Rhiannon is keen and enthusiastic with a fresh and fun approach to teaching. As a student she has all of the university resources at her disposal and is up to date with the latest music events in Brisbane. Rhiannon encourages her students to participate in concerts and competitions while preparing them for AMEB exams and school music ensemble programs.
