brass 'n' woodwind - Home page

Wanting to play trumpet at the age of 12, my Dad spun me a yarn, saying I might split my lung being so young, and came home with a clarinet. ( He loved Benny Goodman)
Accepting what he told me, ( Dad knows best ) I pursued my musical career from there, 3 years later taking up saxophone and later flute.
I wanted to be a professional musician, but dad said, "You had better have a trade to fall back on", and suggested being a brass and woodwind repair technician.   OK,
I started my apprenticeship at the age of 16 under the instruction of Brian Murphy a well know Melbourne instrument technician.
Many years later I started  Brassnwoodwind Workshop (1989)  as a sole operator and repair technician, becoming a Pty Company in 1995
Thanks Dad,  I do love what I do, and trust my customers see this with my enthusiasm, honesty and professional advise.
I can not run my business alone, my staff members are the best I can find, and thank them for following what I believe in, giving  the best service and advice possible.
